Mesoamerica-San Carlos dominant in the second half with 3 goals
Mesoamerica-San Carlos FC delivered a commanding performance in the semifinal match of these 2024 OSA Playoffs against Lions United FC on Saturday, November 16th, at LA City College. After a tightly contested first half that ended in a scoreless draw, Mesoamerica came alive in the second half, netting three goals to seal a decisive 3-0 victory.
Number 11, Irvin Parra, was the star of the match, scoring twice with clinical finishes that showcased his sharp instincts and composure under pressure. His first goal extended the lead to a 2-0 margin midway through the second half, and he completed his brace shortly after with a brilliant solo effort sending Mesomaerica well on their way. This third goal capped off a dominant performance and left Lions United FC unable to recover.
With this victory, Mesoamerica-San Carlos now advances to the championship match, where they will face Laguna Beach FC in what promises to be an exciting final on Saturday, November 23rd at Laguna Beach High School.
