Ronald Gilmore grew up working in equipment, game day operations and team administration for the San Jose Earthquakes of the original North American Soccer League (NASL). Ron then moved on to work for the Golden State Warriors (NBA) throughout his collegiate years in Public Relations and Team Operations capacities. Following college, he accepted a role in the Sports Information Department at Arizona State University.
Gilmore then moved on to work in the private sector for nearly 20 years. During those 20 years, Gilmore held volunteer and part-time game day operations positions with US Soccer. Ron was a staff member for the 1994 FIFA World Cup (Stanford University venue) and the 1999 FIFA Women’s World Cup (San Jose State University venue) and has worked to support over 30 additional Men’s and Women’s US National Team events and four CONCACAF Gold Cup competitions since 1985.
In 2011, he continued his career in soccer at Arizona Youth Soccer Association where he worked on a team that oversaw large youth state, regional, national and ODP tournaments. In March 2014, Ron joined the staff as Director of Operations at USL Championship Arizona United where he managed one of the most successful operations staffs in the League through 2016.
Ron then moved on to assist in the launch of the California United Strikers in the National Independent Soccer Association (NISA) where he worked through the 2019 season. He then joined the NISA league office where he was Executive Vice President of Operations through November 2021.
Gilmore left NISA following the 2023 season and launched “Stadia Sports & Event Management”, a company designed to support both new and existing clubs improve upon match day operations and revenue generations. Some of his professional club clients include The Town FC and Ventura County FC, both of MLS Next PRO.
Ron is excited to consult with Open Soccer Alliance. He has put together a professional league operations manual to instill a high level of professionalism with respect to game day operations. He will also assist OSA clubs in the areas of player registration, revenue generation and fan building within the community.
