Mesoamerica-San Carlos advances in the 2024 OSA Playoffs

Mesoamerica-San Carlos defeats Cal Strikers FC Pro 2-0

Mesoamérica-San Carlos beat Cal Strikers 2-0 in a close match in which both teams fought for control at all times. The game began with great intensity and each team advanced in search of an early advantage. Mesoamérica managed to break the deadlock early in the first half when their striker German Alfaro “G” took advantage of a pass into the small area and easily scored the first goal.

Strikers responded with a series of attacks, almost tying on several occasions, even with a goal disallowed, but Mesoamerica’s defense remained strong. In the second half, Strikers kept up the pressure, but Mesoamerica’s defense remained resilient, repelling every attack.

Mesoamerica then doubled their lead in the second half with a perfectly executed counterattack to secure a 2-0 lead with a goal from Fernando Alejo “El Venado.” With this result, Mesoamerica held on and achieved a hard-fought victory and now they will face Lions United in a semifinal that will lead to the grand final.
