OSA Receives Youth League Sanctioning from Cal South

In a significant milestone for youth soccer development, Open Soccer Alliance USA (OSA) has officially been sanctioned by California State Soccer- South (Cal South) as an official youth league for the 2025-2026 season. This recognition solidifies OSA’s role in fostering a competitive, inclusive, and development-focused environment for young soccer players across Southern California.

With this sanctioning, OSA will operate under Cal South’s governance, ensuring that its league adheres to the highest standards of competition, player safety, and coaching education. Teams within OSA will now have access to Cal South’s network of officiating services, state and national competitions, and player as well as coaching development initiatives, providing young athletes and coaches with an elite soccer experience.

“This is an exciting and proud moment for Open Soccer Alliance USA,” said OSA CEO Robert Stamm. “Our mission has always been to create a structured and competitive environment that prioritizes player growth and accessibility. Being officially sanctioned as a youth league by Cal South allows us to offer our players and coaches the best possible opportunities to develop and succeed.”

The sanctioning also ensures that OSA’s youth league will be integrated into the broader U.S. Soccer Federation pathway, giving players the opportunity to compete at higher levels while benefiting from Cal South’s developmental resources. OSA will offer a structured league format featuring age-appropriate competition, top-tier coaching standards, and a pathway for young athletes aspiring to play at the collegiate or professional level.

As the 2025-2026 season approaches, OSA is gearing up to welcome teams, players, and coaches who are eager to participate in a league dedicated to excellence and growth.
